MBBS Program Overview

Education purpose
The professional training in the coming 6 years will help students acquire new knowledge, attitudes, and skills to become a specialized personnel in medical services, education, and scientific research.
Duration
6 years(including one year of internship).
Degrees Conferred
All the qualified graduates will be awarded Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
Major Courses
During the 6 years of the curriculum, emphasis is placed on the following courses: Chemistry, Physics, Medical Biology, Parasitology, Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Internal Medicine, Diagnostics, Pathology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Medical Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics.
Clinical Clerkship and Clinical Internship
The core clinical curriculum includes clinical labs, clinical clerkships and assessment of clinical internship. All students are required to complete the 16-week Medicine, 16-week Surgery, 8-week Pediatrics and 8-week Obstetrics and Gynecology internship.

Admissions Eligibility of MBBS

To be eligible for selection to the undergraduate MBBS program, all applicants should meet the following conditions:

• Academic transcripts from high school(average scores should be higher than 70%).
• Over 18 years old with healthy physical condition.
• Strong English Language skills. Applicants from non-English speaking countries should provide records of their English learning from primary and secondary school or a certificate of English proficiency from a standardized English test.
• Comply with the Chinese Constitution, the laws of China and all school rules while in China
• Financial support.

An Introduction to Qingdao University

Qingdao University is situated in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, China. Qingdao University was founded in 1903. Qingdao University Medical College is recognized by the World Health Organization and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. Qingdao University is also in the name list of the first universities authorized by the Education Ministry of China to enroll international students to study clinical medicine (taught in English).Now we have many of international students from Thailand, India, and Nepal participating in this program.
