HBNU International Exchange Centre Attained 3rd Position In The 10th Hebei Province Foreign Students

On the 24th of November 2016, ten international students of HBNU along with a teacher travelled to Shijiazhuang the capital of Hebei province
to represent the school in a contest (the 10TH HEBEI PROVINCE FOREIGN STUDENTS CHINESE LANGUAGE SKILLS AND TALENT CONTEST
PERFORMANCE)
The program was hosted by Hebei normal university with sponsorship from the government. On arrival students of HBNU settled in their
various hotel rooms and were urged to concentrate on the tasks ahead of them.
The competition began the early afternoon of 26th, starting off with a talent contest. It was quite a show with HBNU putting up two splendid
performances, displaying the culture of China in the aspect of Chinese martial arts and Chinas Beijing opera. Performed by ALEM OSMAN, RITA
OWUSU, JOEL ARHIN, BAWUAH SIMON, HISHAM SINARE, SALIFU ALHASSAN, ESTHER ASENSO, CLAUDIA ANTWI-BOASIAKO, JOSHUA
OKOFO AND AHULU KELVIN TETTEH. At the end of the talent contest HBNU came out victorious with 2nd position.
At 6:30pm the speech contest began in which the school was represented by BAWUAH SIMON KWADWO BARIMA and AHULU KELVIN TETTEH
they placed 5th and 6th respectively out if 27 students.
The following day JOEL KWANSA ARHIN participated in the character dictation and writing, he was eliminated in the 3rd round.
The late afternoon of the 27th greeted us with the award ceremony where HBNU emerged triumphantly and won 3rd position overall.
Participation in this competition has broaden the spectrum of our students and also strive in improving their knowledge about Chinese knowledge and Chinese culture.
